About

Nurbek Turdukulov is currently based in Alexandria, Virginia, but he has an extensive and multicultural background working with several diverse groups of individuals. Much of this career was spent in Russia, where he worked in many different areas of his field. Nurbek is currently the director of SeaNova Capital LLC, where he uses over 30 years of experience to help in leading the organization well.

In addition to his career, Nurbek also holds education very highly. After attending three universities between the years of 1979 and 2003, Nurbek obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Cybernetics and his Master’s degree in Economics. He strongly believes that education is key to a successful life. He feels extremely fortunate to have had access to higher education in his lifetime, and he recognizes that many do not have this opportunity. Nurbek upholds the belief that education can make an extreme difference in the world, especially for developing nations. He knows education opens up new horizons, gives people new perspectives and allows individuals access to new opportunities.

Nurbek Turdukulov’s passion for education has propelled him in his career and in his volunteering efforts, as he has acted as a chairman and board member on a variety of councils and foundations. In fact, for three years, he served as a member of the board of “SOS Children’s Villages,” a charitable foundation working towards shaping the future of children in need and sharing in the responsibility of helping those communities develop properly. This served Nurbek’s passion well, as he believes in equal opportunity and access to education.

Not only does Nurbek value education, but he also values art and creativity. In fact, his work is commended in the 2015-2016 publication of Old Patterns, New Order: Socialist Realism in Central Asia, a publication by the George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum, highlighting the museum’s exhibition. Nurbek was commended for lending to the exhibition from his own collection. His love of art and multicultural background made him an excellent choice for the exhibit to utilize. He continues to work hard to educate himself on art, cultures and his industry as a whole.
